Q: What does RIFA stand for?
A: It is a trademark for
Recombinant Immunofluorescent Assay. It is used in the VCA IgM IFA kit.
Q: Why
is the conjugate so dark in this kit?
A: It has a high
fluorescein/protein ratio and additional counterstain has been added.
Q: There
doesnt seem to be much whole cell fluorescence with this antigen
why is that?
A: The recombinant seems
to give a bulls-eye type fluorescent pattern. The fluorescence around
the edge of the cell is more intense with the center having a dimmer
fluorescence. |
